VIF organised an online essay contest for school students between classes X and XII in January 2018. The theme for the contest was My Vision of India. The prizes were announced in March and the prize distribution will take place at VIF on 15 May at 4 PM.

Shreya Yadav of Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura, stood first, followed by Nakul Thureja of DAV Public School, Shrestha Vihar, and Ritika Rath of Sanskriti School at second and third positions respectively. Suraj Kumar of N P Co-ed Sr Secondary School, Kidwai Nagar, and Anshita Garg of DAV Public School, Shrestha Vihar, have obtained consolation prizes.
