Joint Training on Cyber Security by Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) : ‘Train the Trainers’ Workshop for Teachers of Indian Air Force Schools

In pursuance of one of its tasks of Information Security and creating awareness of the threats and vulnerabilities of operating in the virtual world, particularly amongst the children, VIF and TCS (ignite) entered into an agreement to conduct specially formulated training starting with the children from the Army, Navy and Air Force Schools on ‘No Cost’ basis.

Workshop on Internet Governance

Dr Gulshan Rai, (National Cyber Security Coordination Centre, or NCSC), Mr Sanjay Verma, Ministry of External Affairs, Mr. Samiran Gupta, India Head of Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers or ICANN), among others, participated in a day-long workshop on Internet Governance, organised the VIF. The focus of the workshop was on having Indian concerns met in the system of global internet governance.

Interaction with Mr. Samiran Gupta, the Head of India for ICANN

Mr. Samiran Gupta, the Head of India for Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) was invited February 23, 2017 for a discussion on issues broadly related to internet’s freedom and security. In his opening remarks, General NC Vij, Director VIF, while highlighting increasing threats in the cyber domain posed by a few state and non-state actors, urged that the internet, an identified global common, must remain open and free from threats.

Vimarsha on Indigenising Technology and Production in Defence – India’s Survival Need with Dr. V. K. Saraswat

On 11th November 2013, Vivekananda International Foundation invited Dr. V. K. Saraswat, former Director General of DRDO and former Scientific Advisor to the Ministry of Defence, to deliver a talk on Indigenising Technology and Production in Defence – India’s Survival Need, under its monthly series of talks given by eminent personalities, Vimarsha. Welcoming Dr Saraswat, VIF Director Shri Ajit Doval KC, raised some critical issues related to India’s future defence requirements.
