Roundtable on ‘Global Nuclear Developments and India’s Policy challenges'

On 8 January 2020, the Vivekananda International Foundation organised a roundtable on Global Nuclear Developments and India’s Policy challenges. Dr Arvind Gupta, Director, VIF, opened the floor by laying the purpose of the roundtable, which is to analyse the global nuclear environment and how India should respond to it. Nuclear developments I 2019 indicate that the nuclear arms race has started again and arms control agreements are collapsing.

Release of VIF Task Force Report: Towards More Effective Education: Emergence of STEM Education in India

On 22 April 2019, the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) released the Task Force Report on “Organisation of STEM Education in India”. The task force report was released by Dr. V K Saraswat, former chairman Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri. ‘Digital Innovation and Disruption in India’, Talk by Dr. Gulshan Rai

With the recitation of peace mantra, the monthly tradition of Vimarsha was flagged off on 11th February 2019, at the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) with a discussion on ‘Digital Innovation and Disruption in India’, which was spearheaded by Dr. Gulshan Rai, National Cyber Security Coordinator, National Security Council Secretariat.

The Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), New Delhi, hosted its monthly event, Vimarsha, On 8 August 2018, the topic being, ‘Technology for Sustainable Development’ and talk delivered by Professor M. Jagadesh Kumar, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University. Professor M. Jagadesh Kumar was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the prestigious university in January 2016 and continues to pursue his deep-rooted passion of academia fervently. He also takes classes on weekly basis at IIT-Delhi.

A talk by Dr RB Grover on Nuclear Industry in India

On January 11, 2017, the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) organised a talk by Dr. Ravi Grover, Member, Atomic Energy Commission and Former Director, Homi Bhabha National Institute. The talk was moderated by Dr. Arvind Gupta, Director, VIF, and was attended by experts from industry, nuclear power sector, journalists and VIF scholars.
