Dr. Suvro Parui was a Research Fellow (Jan 2023-May 2023) at the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) , New Delhi. Dr. Parui held the position of Head of the Department and Language Coordinator (Dept. of Chinese Language) at Amity School of Languages. He has also served in many administrative positions in Amity since 2014. Parui holds a PhD degree in Chinese Literature from Visva Bharati University (2017) and his area of interests include national movements, history Literature, Post Mao discourse and Chinese documentation and translation on social and economic developments. He has held positions of Fellow at MAKAIAS ( Feb 2009 to March 2013) and Courtesy Faculty at China Center, University of Calcutta, India (2008-2009), Visiting Lecturer at Cheena Bhawan, for Chinese Language and Culture Visva Bharati University, ( April 2012 to June2014). He has been an Ad-hoc Lecturer at the School of Languages, AMA (Ahmadabad Management Association Ahmadabad (April 2007 to September 2007). Dr Parui holds MA and BA (Chinese language, literature and culture) from Banaras Hindu University. Dr Parui has published several research papers, chapters in edited volumes, conference proceedings, articles in magazines and websites, and book reviews. He also published several translated articles in journals, occasional papers as well as contributed a number of chapters in a collection of translated articles; besides these Parui has visited and lectured in a large number of countries including Bangladesh, China, Singapore,Thailand among others. He has received Jawaharlal Nehru award for his MA programme and also received National Fellowship under Ministry of Culture Govt. of India.
