Bangladesh’s monthly inflation rate fell slightly by 0.2 percentage points from May’s 9.94 per cent to 9.74 per cent in June, according to fresh data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS). May’s figure was the highest in a decade. Non-food inflation hit 9.6 per cent during the month, down from 9.96 per cent in the previous, acoding to media reports in the country. India on Monday permitted imports of potatoes from Bhutan without any license for one more year till June 2024. Earlier, it was allowed till June 30 this year. "Import of potatoes...is allowed from Bhutan without any import license, up to June 30, 2024," the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification.
