VIF-CICIR-CASS virtual Roundtable on “China-India Climate Change: Dynamics and the Way Forward”

On 15 June 2022, Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) organized a virtual roundtable on China-India Climate Change: Dynamics and the Way Forward. There was a general recognition that the Sino-Indian border issue has stood in the way of greater cooperation between India and China on various issues including climate change.

Short Capsule on “India’s Strategic and Security Perspectives”

VIF, in continuation of initiative taken since last three years a fourth series of lectures cum discussions on India’s national security and strategic perspectives was organised from 18 to 19 May 2022. Vimarsh on the Earth Sciences & their Importance for the Nation's Well-being - Dr. Shailesh Nayak

On the ninth of February, 2022, the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) organised a Vimarsh on the “Earth Sciences and their Importance for the Nation's Well-being”. The session encompassed a series of introductory remarks by Dr Arvind Gupta, Director VIF, and a presentation on the stated theme by Dr Shailesh Nayak- Director of the National Institute of Advanced Studies and Distinguished Scientist from the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

Strategic Leadership and Perspective Planning Workshop by VIF, Army War College and IIM, Indore

The VIF in collaboration with Army War College/Army Training Command and IIM Indore organised a "Strategic Leadership and Perspective Planning" capsule for three days from 24 to 26 November 2021 at the VIF in physical mode. There were 16 to 18 recently approved Lt. Gens who attended the programme. Over a period of three days, in addition to the military aspects of strategic leadership and perspective planning they were exposed to strategic environment confronting India. Speakers from IIM, Indore dwelled on communication and management issues.
