A panel of academics and South Asia experts from around the world explored the prospect of “rebranding” Pakistan away from the ideology of jihad and terrorism, with the Pakistani diaspora playing some role in such a move.
‘Reimagining Pakistan: A Global Perspective’, organised by the Jammu Kashmir Study Centre UK think tank and the Indian National Students Association (INSA) UK in London on Saturday, highlighted that Pakistan’s so-called “jihad strategy” dates back to 1947 when it tried to “forcibly annex Kashmir”.Click here to read... 10 Indians among 900 ISIS affiliates surrendering in Afghanistan

Almost 900 people, including Islamic State fighters and members of their families and a majority of them Pakistani nationals, have surrendered to Afghan security forces in the past fortnight, people familiar with developments said on Sunday. These include ten Indians as well.
The surrenders occurred in the eastern province of Nangarhar, where the Afghan national security forces are conducting operations against the IS, the people cited above said. Hours after the operation was launched on November 12, a total of 93 IS members, including 13 Pakistani nationals, laid down their arms, they said.Click here to read... [3]

India, Afghanistan agree to extradite Pakistani terrorists

In a move to counter terror in the region, India and Afghanistan on Sunday formalised operation of extradition treaty that will enable extradition of Pakistani terrorists operating out of Afghan territory.
The extradition treaty was first signed in 2016 when President Ashraf Ghani visited India. The operationalisation of will enable India to extradite Pakistan-origin terrorists from banned groups who operate from Afghan soil, sources told ET. Australia investigates China plot to plant spy in Parliament

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Monday that allegations of a Chinese plot to plant an agent into Australia’s Parliament are “deeply disturbing and troubling.”
