India became a permanent member of SCO in 2017. Since joining, New Delhi has made a substantial contribution to this organisation by raising certain critical concerns relating to connectivity, transportation, regional security, and economic growth and development. The Islamic Republic of Iran joined the SCO as a permanent member during the most recent SCO summit, making it the largest regional organisation in terms of area and GDP. For 2022–2023, India will be the SCO's chair. In this episode of VIF podcast, India's SCO presidency and its implications for India-Central Asia connectivity initiatives will be highlighted by Amb.
