Vivekananda International Foundation and DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) together have interactions in which eminent and distinguished speakers from DRDO have given presentations to the think tanks, industry, startups, military, and civil society. These presentations were towards contributing to the strategic and technology environment.

In the ongoing series of these talks, the third edition was held on 20 July at 1100 AM at VIF in person. The speaker for the presentation is Shri Atul D. Rane, Scientist ‘H’, Outstanding Scientist and DG BrahMos and his topic was on “Joint Ventures" he covered the following aspects:

1. Methodology and guidelines for establishing defence JVs in India with OEMs abroad.

2. Leveraging the benefits of vast government infrastructure and resources for defence manufacturing
3. Marketing skills and flexibility of the private industry.
4. Increased opportunities to obtain advanced technologies from foreign sources
5. Bottlenecks and way forward.

In the Q&A session a wide variety of suggestions, clarifications and questions were taken by the speaker.
