For the next fiscal year 2025-26, the growth is projected to rise to 7.6 percent and 5.3 percent in 2026-27 fiscal year. The recent Asian Development Outlook had projected the economy to grow at a robust pace of 8.5 percent this year, before moderating to 6 percent in 2026. Bangladesh, and the UN, want to provide stable conditions in Myanmar for Rohingya to eventually return -- but in their old homeland in Rakhine state, the anti-junta Arakan Army (AA) stands off against junta forces.
