Foreign Office announces social distancing steps amid virus threat: Dawn
March 18, 2020

The Foreign Office on Tuesday set up a special cell for coordination on coronavirus and introduced a number of social distancing measures. The newly-established cell, headed by Special Secretary (Admin) Moazzam Ahmed Khan, would liaise with diplomatic corps in the country as well as with Pakistani missions abroad, the FO said. The social distancing measures introduced by the FO included partial suspension of walk-in consular services and a change in the format of the weekly media briefing. Click here to read....

Covid-19: New integrated control room, 2 fresh cases: Dhaka Tribune

In view of the rising number of positive Covid-19 cases in the country, the Health Ministry has opened a new integrated control room for managing and supervising the coronavirus situation. The Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, on Tuesday said two more Covid-19 cases had been detected, taking the number of confirmed cases to 10.
