Govt decides to help send back expats to UAE: Dhaka Tribune

The government has decided to help send back the 75 migrant workers who were not allowed to enter the UAE earlier and were sent back to Bangladesh on Monday. Following the development, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism sat at an emergency meeting to decide the course of action regarding the issue. Virus is taking hold in community, warn public health experts: The Kathmandu Post

A 58-year-old woman from Bhotahiti was among the three people who succumbed to the coronavirus on Monday. She had been taken to Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku a couple of weeks ago after she had a mild cough and a fever and difficulty breathing, The woman was later referred to Patan Hospital for intensive care where she breathed her last. According to a source at Patan Hospital, the woman had not visited any coronavirus hotspot. Nor had she come in close contact with an infected person. Poll results show rejection of former administration: US Envoy: Daily Mirror

US Ambassador Alaina Teplitz, who met with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, has said the general election results showed that the previous administration has been rejected, the Prime Minister’s Media Division said yesterday.
