1. Maldives and Saudi Arabia seal a deal on Air travel:

Saudi Arabia and Maldives, signed an agreement on March 29 to officially start air travel between the two countries. The agreement is to start direct flights by the national airline of Saudi Arabia, Saudia, to Maldives, and by Maldivian airlines to different Saudi Arabian cities. The agreement allows Maldivian airlines to operate 14 flights to Riyadh, Jeddah and Medina each week

2. Opposition Leaders in London discuss political moves:

Maldivian opposition leaders met in London to discuss a number of political moves. The attendees included former President Mohamed Nasheed, former Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed, former Foreign Secretary and the UN special rapporteur to Iran, Dr. Ahmed Shaheed, Deputy Leader of Jumhooree Party, Ameen Ibrahim and the MDP Chairper, Ali Waheed. It was decided to raise concern against the death sentence for political motives.
