Anushree Ghisad did her B.Tech in Chemical Technology from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur. She is presently working as a Research Associate at VIF. Her area of research includes analysis of politico-security dimensions of the Sri Lanka, Maldives, ASEAN and littoral states of the Indian Ocean Region. She is nominated as research scholar at the Centre for Indo - Lanka Initiatives, an initiative of Vivekananda International Foundation, New Delhi and The Pathfinder Foundation, Colombo under the aegis of Government of India and Government of Sri Lanka. She has contributed papers and articles for Swarajya magazine, Science & Technology Security Forum, Centre for Land and Warfare Studies (CLAWS) and Society for Policy Studies (SPS).
