Dr Upendra Baxi is a legal scholar who was the VC of University of Delhi from 1990 to 1994. Since 1996, he has been a professor of law in development at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He has taught various courses at Universities of Sydney, Duke University, the American University, the New York University Law School Global Law Program, and the University of Toronto. He read law in University of Bombay, and holds LLM degrees from University of Bombay and University of California at Berkeley -- which also awarded him with a Doctorate in Juristic Sciences.
